Wouldn't you love to just curl up and....

There are days when I wonder why I am so tired, then I remember:
  1. I am out of the house working 12 hrs a day
  2. I am going to school at night studying Interior Decorating
  3. I have weekly design plates to prepare, a research project and a final   client project to prepare
  4. I am redecorating my home office paycheque to paycheque (blogging about is keeping me on track with a timeline)
  5. We've just added a new puppy to the mix.
It's days like this when I would just love to curl up with a good novel or design magazine.  I came across this one at simpledetailsblog.blogspot.com and thought that this is where I want to spend the day with a nice hot cup of tea.

Paycheque #1: Office Remodel

I work full time and study interior decorating part-time.  I am almost finished and will soon have my certificate of Interior Design.  It seems to me that everyone I talk to would like to re-decorate their space but either don't have the resources or really don't know what to do.  Here's and interesting concept.  Paycheque to paycheque decorating.  Follow the transformation of a spare room in my home into an amazing home office, paycheque to paycheque.

PAYCHEQUE #1
My first purchase is paint.  Two gallons of Sherwin Williams 6766 -Mariner Blue

Stay tuned for photos of the painted walls  and I will let you know what  my next paycheque purchase will be.

And so it begins....

Welcome and thank you for visiting my blog.  I have been following many design, fashion and lifestyle blogs for some time and hope you will visit often as I become familiar with the processes and continue to share what inspires me.  About me....I have always dreamed about being designer or decorator.  It all started when I was a kid and my Dad brought hom a doll house that he bought at a garage sale.  Well, I must have redecorated that doll house at least a million times.  I even resorted to cutting out pictures of draperies, lamps and rugs from magazine and the Eatons and Simpsons catalogues and sticking them in the dollhouse using silly putty.  So after many years in the Corporate world, I returned to school part time to study Interior Decorating.  I am in my final year of studies and am so excited to fullfil my lifelong passion.  I believe everyone deserves a beautiful, comfortable home that they don't need to spend a fortune to achieve.
